Brother Rugged-Jet Printer Now Available From Synergix

Synergix, the auto-ID and barcode division of Midwich has announced that it has signed an agreement to distribute the RJ-4030 and RJ-4040 mobile printers from Brother.

Representing an expansion of Brother’s existing mobile print range, the RJ is designed specifically for outdoor use. It has, therefore, been drop-tested to 6 foot and is IP54 certified, a tough test against dust and water, so that users can be assured of continued reliability even in extreme conditions. These features make the RJ ideal for use in such applications as field service, logistics, field sales, and public safety as it enables the user to print service reports, delivery notes, quotations, invoices and other paperwork on the spot. This has the advantage of increasing customer confidence, improving productivity, and can even help sales people close deals more quickly while interest is still high.

Featuring a compact and robust design, the RJ weighs just 850g including the battery, and prints at 127mm per second. It offers a variety of connectivity options including USB, serial, and Bluetooth, and because it prints using direct thermal technology, it requires no ink or toner.

The RJ can be customised using a range of accessories including car mounting kits, card readers, shoulder straps and more.
